This picture* attests the popularity of the bicycle in 1900. It shows a group of one family alone, all of whom rode. The father of the family, Mr.Cheverton, was the champion cyclist of the Isle of Wight.
Today things around cycling have evolved but their popularity has never been so high and brands like Rapha try to maintain the stylish, ecletic mood of the 1900’s. It is perhaps not surprising that we currently look to revive these moments.
*I bought this picture for £1 in Plymouth (Summer 2014)
